Nikki and I left the UK and are heading off to Livigno for a spot of skiing and altitude training prior to my upcoming race season including London marathon and Wales Ironman..

So first night in Dover car Park, second night Saturday in Bastogne Belgium at the wonderful Battle of the Bulge museum.
Arrived late yesterday and stayed in the car park. Decreet location and eerily quiet, good job we had Betty with us. Arrived with a flat tyre (twin rear wheels) as one of the valve extensions came apart. All fixed up thanks to auto levelling system..

So woke up.-3 outside and went for a little run around the city. Beautiful and amazing place. Got back and visited the museum.
WoW
What a place, great stories told lovely monument to the American servicemen that lost their lives as well as the Germans and locals.

Made.famous by the series Band Of Brothers.. Well worth a visit if you're out this way.

Now moved on to Ettlingen for the night before a long drive to Livigno.

Well to complete the picture you may wish to visit the aerodrome just up the road from me where they took off.
Very emotive standing on the runway.

Careful on the roads, severe weather warnings tonight and tomorrow AM in the areas you’re crossing due to high winds.

On the plus side you have a bear to keep you warm if you get stuck🐕

The band of brothers intro (the series) to me is one of the most moving begining to any programme ive ever watched😢

Nice one (y)

I'm hoping to get round to my long talked about band of brothers tour this spring.
Try and visit the old army barracks in the town, free guided tours, loads of military equipment too.

It’s where General Patton did his planning.

Arrived late yesterday and stayed in the car park
Thanks. We hope to visit the museum in June.
Did I read somewhere that they were installing a barrier on the car park?
Not sure if it will be possible to stay overnight if that happens.
