In praise of a site

I know I should keep it “secret” but I trust you lot ;-) . Just spent our second trip to uphill marina in Weston super mare and booked a third. Why?

it’s about 2 1/2 hours away
It’s very very quiet even when full
The views are lovely
The hill walks are equally lovely and there’s a mile long stretch of pretty empty sand five mins walk away .
It’s got all the services .
It’s very reasonable


cant fault it really - other than wish the grey waste drain was on both sides of exit - I can’t be arsed to spin my moho round to empty

One of our favs too, they do a good brekkie at the gate, and the La Cucina Italiana in the village is excellent value . Great view from the church top of the cliff well worth the clinb!

(In red because we hav'nt been there this year so hav'nt a clue if it survived CV19)

Haven't the owners learnt that it is only necessary to run a gulley covered by a grid across the roadway to wherever the drain is? Did you tell them?

We were there 2 weeks ago.
Yes, lovely little site.
Stayed 3 nights, cycled to Brean, all off road.
We posited that maybe 75% of the project boats in the big yard had no real owner.
Old decaying boats have a negative value due to the cost of disposal.

Live nearby, walk or cycle past regularly. Cafe in the boat yard is good for food.

Thanks may have to give it ago as we only live 1hr plus away. Ha.... could be getting busier
