Who knows? it might be the same or import tax might have to be paid. All depends on any deal.

Should be straight forward, change speedo dial, rear fog lamp may need changing if it doesn't have 2, change headlamps or adjust if an A Class.
Notify NOVA even though no vat is due.
Get it checked by garage or mot station.
Apply to VCA for IVA.
Apply to DVLA for registration.

Is there a time restriction to get this done ?

I think it is supossed to be 10 days but that is impossible. In normal times it normally takes 4 to 5 weeks.
NOVA can take up to a couple of weeks.
VCA take 5 to 10 working days.
DVLA 3 to 4 weeks.
Those are in normal times.

I do not think he needs an IVA as he has the CofC, the whole point of which is to allow its specification and build to be recognised in any contracting country. unless VCA have to certify thay CofC is genuine.

I have moved to France and I have a UK-registered motorhome and am looking at registering it in France. Maybe instead we should talk?

As we are no longer in the EU. The COC may now not apply here. Suggest contact the VCA. We. That is the U.K. has to sort its own Certification which of course It has not yet done. If over 10 years old no problem just an MOT. Under 10 years old contact the VCA. Anyone personally importing a new Motorhome will have this problem, there is talk of a ‘P’ plate being issued until this U.K. Certification has been sorted out. Another benefit of Brexit!

All so. There may be an issue of DUTY and VAT on the Duty, but thus Alison is not clear at present!
