Have seen a really nice van in Germany.
Couple of questions.
Some idea of costings roughly, might help steer in this direction.
Assume, i would need 30 day plates to travel, ideally fully comprehensive, maybe the dealer can do this?
In England assume i would need a dashboard overlay and to alter the rear fog light.
Any one with some experience of these processes, the van is used.

You will not get fully comprehensive insurance. Best you shall obtain is 3rd party as part of the export plates. Cost me ā‚¬350 three weeks ago.

How old is the van you are looking at, as the details will allow more detailed advice as it varies dependant on age.

You wonā€™t get it in 2020 I tried hard, nobody interested. Appears many where taking out cover under VIN which by virtue was slightly more expensive then cancelling under the 14 day cooling off period. I tried everywhere, one option was to cover the Motorhome as ā€œgoods in transitā€ and use the 3rd Party export plate cover for the vehicle insurance. I took the risk and thankfully had no issues. New Morelo is back home safe and well.

Same as last month, German third party 5 day plates and insurance then from the tunnel NFU third party until registration.
Makes you a better driver going 700 miles on third partyšŸ˜¬

It depends on age of van and cost, we imported a 2005 van under 40 grand.
