Immobiliser. Ghost or Shadow? Other?

Just been reading about the number of motorhomes that are being nicked, right off people's driveways. It really worries me because of the amount of time & money we have invested, but also how much of heartbreak there would be to wake up and see an empty space where the bus used to be. The state isn't going to sign up to the bastar scumbags being hung by their jacobs from the nearest tree, so we've got to look after ourselves.

I am upgrading my security, specifically immobilisers (and locking ground spikes, bulldog wheelclamps and mortise locks). Basically asking which immobilisers are the funster choice. I have searched back through the forum and there does not seem to be an obvious main contender.

IF it's stood for any length of time, put it on stands and take a couple of wheels off! (cheap and effective)

Very very happy with Ghost.
Monitoring is by Global Telemetrics (who monitor many different brands) and they are top notch.

From my research before I settled with Ghost, although you think you are buying just one item, ie a monitored tracker system, most advertised companies sell you the product and it’s installation and you actually sign up to a monitoring contract with another.

As far as I can see, the advantage is that the monitoring company specialise in just monitoring and have good capability and capacity and aren’t just a small start up.
