2010 Adria Coral 670
I am now in the process of planning my trip to Morrocco after watching a many of you tube videos. I am convinced it is like anywhere in the world just have your wits about you. I can be sceptical as you never know, but I am seeing it does look interesting. I do hate the so called horror stories but I am certain common sense prevails. I am mainly interested in the Sahara Desert as well as the Atlas Mountains and coastline. As for large cities I am not that keen on. Any tips greatly appreciated. I am taking my two dogs with me.

I shall be at Newbury Racecourse on the 14th May weekend

Maybe see you there.

Im in a Adria Coral 670 SLT , (look for the paw prints)

Good luck and please post updates!

If you’re using an AHC to cross the channel I’m interested in the process to get the dogs over from Spain to Morocco and back.

Well today I rang around for insurance and to be fair was told just get it at the border. As per some YT vids seen as well.

Ferryscanner app said ferry was £35 to cross from Spain Algerciras to Tanger Med but only a few ferries can accpet my moho so shall keep exploring.
As for the AHC it was an easy proccess, just find a vet that does the AHC and all is easy to do.
There is an extra step at Spain regarding paperwork to take and bring dogs back from morocco and agian can be done at the spanish border.

Lots of posts on here re Morocco. Best to give them a quick wizz through if you have never been before. The insurance at the border btw is 3rd party.
I have not seen any ferry crossings for the price you quoted £35. The best ones were with dfds who had a special offer on earlier this year.
Dogs need a titre test to have been done before you leave spain for morocco.
Not sure of any issues with your van length 7.5 metres. Ours was 7.1 and lots of others are longer and don't have issues with length on the ferries between algeceras and tangier med.
If prices are high .check with Carlos who is the main ticket seller. Any van length is the same price for a return ticket around 220 euros

Sat in Morocco ATM just had a little adventure getting to and from Rabat via taxi and train. Rabat is very nice, so far most of the coast line I have visited is full of rubbish and stray dogs. Re the insurance at the border it is 3rd party cost me about 200 euros for three months it's a rip off as talking to a number of motorhomes over here they didn't take out any insurance and most of the locals don't have it either personally I took it if I hurt someone at least we are both covered. Driving standards are appalling and cows wandering down a dual carriageway was a new one for me, pedestrians just stroll across the road and I usually go through 4 road blocks and a speed trap every hour or so of driving so it's defensive driving all the way.
Ah the fun of adventuring if you don't try it you will never know.

Within an hour of driving down the péage from Tangier Med we had sheep and goats being herded down the hard shoulder, camels crossing, adults and kids walking along it as if it was a normal pavement, and cargo bikes and moped riders riding against the direction of traffic. Certainly sharpened up the old situational awareness!

Came across a mahoosive wild boar on the central reservation near the Agadir turnoff with another smaller one dead on the hard shoulder, so be careful out there as hitting one of those could easily result in a write off.

Good luck and please post updates!

Yes I shall visit my vet on the 6th August to get the final paperwork done for the big trip. The dogs vaccines are due in November but see if doing them early will be better. As for crossing to Morocco get a test done in Spain before I go and then the necessary paperwork gets issued as long as everything is in order. Probably about another 300 Euros. for two dogs.

Have your dogs had a titre (serology) test? You wont get far if they haven't.
