Ignoring members - please check your settings

Could I please ask member to double check their 'ignore' settings as my t'other half, a very popular funster, is being ignored by a some members judging by her not being able to see posts (ie gaps in threads) however she's discovered that a couple have done this unintentionally so I suspect she's not the only member who's been ignored accidentally.

If you want to ignore people obviously that is most definitely your right but if not then you could be missing out on some interesting stuff posted by the 'accidentally ignored'!

Therefore please check your ignore settings to ensure they are correct.

How do we do that? I've never tried to ignore anyone.

Click on your username at the top right then 'ignoring' in the drop down menu:

Nope, she's not ignoring anyone, she's a fully-fledge member of the NMC (nosy moo club!).

I suspect something has gone awry somehow as others didn't know they were ignoring Mrs Shrekfeet.

If you don't know who you are there's no hope!

Seriously she only knows who those members are that are ignoring her due to there being missing posts in threads (eg post numbers not consecutive), as I can see all threads as no-one appears to be ignoring me I can let her know who the missing posts were done by. She's not looking to find out who (if anyone) wants to ignore her but that those who are doing so are doing it intentionally and not accidentally as those who have already been asked were so she can 'talk turkey' with them again.

I have accidentally ignored people before without my knowledge. Probably my fat fingers! I check often to make sure I don’t have anyone in ignore!

A timely reminder that posters check their ignore settings.
Somehow it is too easy to accidentally ignore posters.

I don’t use the “ignore user” feature. I was close to but then found that poster was a good contributor in other areas of the forum

Edit. You can ignore threads and - iirc - sub forums.
I’ve a few “show your pet” threads of ignored, for example.

Only trouble with ignore button is If you say something to upset another Funster and they immediately press ignore and then you realise you need to apologise for content you have written then they won't see your apology.

I found I was ignoring a free member. I never ignored them. Anyway I have unignored them know.
