God knows why considering we have barely used it but the ignition button on the gas fire has broken inside (fallen inside as well). The typical brown slatted calor gas jobby we all have.

Is it a 'big job' to fix or best left to those that know what they're doing? I get a tad tired of blokes sucking air through their teeth and quoting silly money to get things done these days.

Anybody else ever fixed theirs? If you have have you got any manuals / instructions showing how to do it you could mail me?

Cheers

Hi Paul

You don't say what sort of fire if it's a carver with the knob you turn to the lighting position then click down it might be the same as our caravan was.

You can lift the front off after removing two screws at the bottom corners, the lighting knob will have jumped off the gas valve at the bottom so it just needs putting back on and front refitting.

Or it could be completely different in which case ignore all of the above.

7 years campers before that
if its a push button piezo type they are often just held in place with a spring clip often a jubilee clip will work to hold it in position
