The solenoid is shot soldered the were back to the winding but it dose not work £22.75 for exchange solenoid
striped the starter motor will put new brushes.
will give it a good clean and a wee paint every thing else with the starter motor is OK

Some piks just to show what a starter motor looks like for the unknowing not every one knows what one looks like.
in bits clean all most there back together reedy to re fit Complete with new solenoid.
I also replaced the brass bush on end cover as it was a bit worn

I saved over £169 pounds servicing the starter a exc unit was almost £200 so happy camper
