What is wrong with motorhomers today. There are too many miserable barstools on the road.

I always give a wave and a nod but no response in many cases.

I wouldn’t mind but many motorhomers are travelling into Pembrokeshire on their holidays and look as miserable as sin!

Cheer up! 😁😎🍺

I always wave - with my big foam hand:LOL:

I wonder if it depends if folks are outward bound or on their way home. On the way to Norfolk last week loads of MHS, all waived bar a couple, even saw a foam hand  but hardly any waived on our way home yesterday.

I often waive at delivery drivers but find they don't waive back for some reason....

Yes, I've noticed this as well. I couldn't get used to it when we got back from living in Germany. I think it's actually compulsory there and punishable with a fine if you don't wave. I'm also pretty sure that in Germany once the temperature gets above 20c then all wohnmobile drivers have to were a vest instead of a shirt when driving.

We traveled down to Cornwall over two days last week and out of the couple of dozen or more MH's coming the other way, we only got two waves back.

Touring France in May it was only a handful of French MH's that did not wave back over the three weeks we were there. (y)

I got a wave from a huge A class type of motorhome today. When we stopped for lunch they were in the same car park. They wondered over and asked for parking information in Whitby and Scarbourgh. Very nice people to talk to so worth the wave.

Most motorhomers don't recognise Kerry's camper as a motorhome.

No problem last week with waves on or weekend.
By the end of the journey my arm was almost dropping off.
And I do admit I didn't wave to everyone
Bill

We travelled to Pembrokeshire and no-one in a Pilote waved at us.

I claim my pint. But make it a decent ale, none of that lager rubbish.;):drink:

The only time we don't wave is when we are on a motorway but we have noticed that there are some miserable so and so's and also most who don't wave seem to be of a younger generation

So much vans on the road these days it gets boring waving.
lost count how many delivery vans and horse boxes I have waved to in the past :giggle: don't bother now. Get on site and try to talk to some and they don't want to know 🤷‍♀️ Why have a motorhome if you don't want to socialise. May as well just book into a massive hotel and keep yourself to yourself :giggle:

How will I know it's you, so I can not wave at you and claim my pint?

Waving at sea is the norm when passing. Even raggies wave at us motor cruisers when not faffing with their ropes and staring up at their flappy thing; we might need each other when things go wrong at sea! (y)

We are down in Portsmouth area...some folks are seriously miserable ! Carolyn waves at them all but A class folks....seem to think they are above us all? Why? Never seen so many miserable buggers to be honest!(y)

Strangely enough, I was reading an article last week that said, waving and flashing of lights etc., was against the law and could lead to fines and points on your licence in the UK? (yet another way of extracting cash from the motorist!)
Didn't take much notice because I'm one of the miserable sods who doesn't wave, I'm too busy concentrating on the road ahead and idiots thereon.
Can't remember which paper it was but probably last Saturdays Daily Mail as it's the only paper I buy these days and that's only because it contains (or used to) a good TV guide. :giggle:

On our travels we most times we wave to fellow motorhome homers depends on how busy the road is,

Ha ha….sorry about that. Need to update my profile, I have changed the MH to a Hymer.

We are tucked away on our favourite site in Pembs. Before you ask…. No.

Strange that. We have only had A classes. I find them the most friendliest motorhomers.

Chatting to neighbour on site tonight. He has a Talbot Autosleeper. Classic! Mind you. He is our only neighbour.

I think the opposite. I’m driving my accommodation, so I don’t have to be social.

We have an A class, we wave to everyone, why should you think that we think we are above you. Do you ignore A Class owners on sites?

don't know what class our is and don't care. I talk to everyone on sites, don't even look at what vans they are in. More so, If you have a dog I will be drawn to saying hello :giggle:

I wave when i see another moho, but sometimes my head is in my phone, sat nav or im asleep and surely drivers first concentration is to the road in front and not what is coming the other way?
