Our hatch has one internal seal on the drop down door but would like to add an additional one in the groove - has anyone already done this or has ideas of best seal to use & where to buy it?
This type of Dometic hatch which gaps a bit at the top:

Additional seal to go in groove on the drop down door:

Why do you want to do that?
In extreme weather a small amount of rain can sometimes get past the existing seal & accumulate in the base of the frame so could eventually end up inside - trying to avoid this potential problem.

would it sort it hinge at top ?

My caravan lockers had a stuck on 'gutters' above the lockers. Perhaps a length of fiamma drip stop?

Ive used that on my drivers side window on A class . Water was pouring off the roof and into gas locker. Much better now good product.

Could you not just turn door& frame to hinge at top or side? Ours is hinged at top doesn’t seem to leak through the seal🤔😊

If buying the Fiamma drip strip most of the Fiamma stockists only sell it in 0.75m, 3m, & 10m lengths if you go on ebay there are sellers selling by the metre.

Thank you for all the suggestions so far - we do have stick on guttering over the sliding door https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...on-van-conversions.202952/page-2#post-4148269 but almost invisible & it's not enough of an issue to justify adding it over the hatch as think it would stand out a bit too much. It's more ideas for a desirable enhancement than a fix as luckily it's hardly & rarely an issue at present. Will have to look at the seals website & see what might work - was being lazy & hoping someone had done it before!

Another way would be to put a large bead of silicone along the top and sides and allow to set before closing the hatch thus forming your own bead🤔
