No Not really we actually love our Flair so decided that as we were at home for a few weeks I would give it a good clean and polish and yes I do mean polish and then follow with wax, so £300 later I have a "buff daddy" dual action machine polisher two graded of Meguires compound and corresponding pads, and after reading so many testimonials on here I made a small investment in a tin of Colonite 476s.
I thought "get a machine easy peasy" how wrong I was, I must have 12 hours in it already and only done the front and one side, going to be like the Forth road bridge I think by the time I get to the roof the front will need doing again.
The front cap if fibreglass but was not badly oxidised but still came up quite nice for a quick buff over,
Now this is why I want something smaller next time, its 8.5 metres and 3.3 tall so a lot of panel to work on and in 12 years it has had a lot of wax but not much else so was quite cloudy, I could/should have most likely cut a bit further back but being a newbie the last thing I wanted was to go back to the alloy and make it look like an Airstream.
I even gave the windows a quick go over with ultra finish compound but you can still see the scratches,
I am working inside with a LED spotlight and it doesn't look too bad to me I bet it looks rubbish when I take it out in the daylight
COLONITE 476s easy peasy to put on and take off and as others have said "no dust" I quite like it but will reserve judgment till it's out in the weather.
