Hello,

I love being in a hot tub in winter with a glass of something sparkling. Has anyone ever heard of a camp site that takes a motorhome and offers a private hot tub as well?

Living in hope.

How often do they change the water?

I'm not sure how happy I'd be to get in a sex pond not knowing who'd been in it before me :Eeek:

Don't worry, CSI could make a DNA match of all of them !!

Do like the "Sex Pond" label tho, never heard them called that before.

If health and safety are involved, which they will be on a site open to the public, it would need to be emptied and refilled after every use.
When we had the lodge in the lakes those that rented out and had a hot tub had to empty and refill after every booking and in between. That's why we never bothered having one, becomes too expensive.

We've had tubs in our properties since 2008, in over 10 years of use, by applying the correct chemicals, we've never had insanitary water.

It would be interesting to know if they are emptied between users, as the average tub takes at least 1000 litres to fill & around 8 hours to heat to 35c from cold on a 32a supply @3kwh, 13a plug & play tubs take longer to heat.

I have a plug and play, doesn't take too long to heat up.
As for chemicals, if you keep on top of them it should be ok for quite a time, however as I said earlier those who had them at lodges had to change them after each booking, most bookings were for 3 or 4 days.
They were refilled with water from the hot tap so that whoever moved in didn't have to wait to use it.
Instructions on mine says to fill it cold and get the chemical balance right before heating.

Andy( in hot) waters will you be putting your tug in with you :) sorry couldn't resist.
Can’t because my boats leak oil from the drives.
The oil or grease is essential more as a barrier to water ingress rather than lubrication.

Twin filters and water treatment ensure cleanliness
40C is not luke warm ?
It’s not for getting washed in you wash and rinse first

Completely agree.... We have a tub and at 40C it’s like climbing into a hot bath... No one uses ours but us. The filters are changed when they should be and the chemicals looked after.
For my wife with her illness the tub really helps.

We have had one for about 10 years.

No problem keeping on top of the chemicals.

@Techno i think you might find 40C a bit hot. Ours is set at 37C and that’s plenty hot enough.

@Techno , Yorkshire hot tubs range looks good, are they wifi controlled with built in Bluetooth speakers ?

Which model did you go for ? 32a or 13a ?
