I have done it, I am hosting a craft fayre in our village community hall...…….I have never done anything like this before.
25 tables to fill, 5 booked so far and I only kicked this off yesterday......lets hope it goes well.

My better half has done charity events for the last 12 years, panic sets in at the outset but every single one has been a sell out, I’m sure you will fill the tables easily and have plenty of community support.

Hope it goes well, about 7 years ago we had to raise money for Sophie’s youth group and held a car boot sale. My only advice is advertise as soon as possible and as much as possible

Good luck , we have a similar event in our village this weekend (and it’s a new thing too), latest info is that all tables have been sold.

Lots of use of social media and getting people to share it with a wider area and in other group pages will help.
