Is the site we are now using the finished article or are we still viewing the temporary pages that have been displayed during the server modification's. I've been away during the weekend so a bit confused. It all looks a bit bland to me, lost that edge.

Where is the calendar of events?
I think Jim is still working on a fair few peripheral bits so I am sure everything will reappear in time, as for the look I think its OK and all seems to work well with some extra features and again I am sure Jim will not be able to resist having a bit of a fiddle and tweak so expect it to change a bit yet, anyway I am more interested in the content so as long as I can get to that all is well in the world.

I can't remember what it looked like before anyway, I do realise that it is different now but still functional, got used to it.

I see that we have the square avatars back, think I prefer these but not exactly a major concern.

It is looking a bit insipid but maybe that's just my posts ? And where's the "recent" function gone, or is it replaced by "what's new", which doesn't seem as handy as the old "recent" tab ?

To me it is starting to resemble an e.on annual bill summary. Full of too many facts while becoming overly busy.

More or less, I won't be playing with colours or fonts anymore as its doing my head in. I have to live with things for a while. I'm sure I'll be tweaking minor things for weeks. There is so much more to do but most of that you won't notice.

As for it being bland and insipid, that's more or less exactly what i want, it's the structure and what it allows us to do that's important. If we can communicate without the bells, whistles and colours distracting us or getting in the way, then it's perfect. (y)

It's impossible to design by committee, there are just too many opinions, and I've learned over the years not to pay too much attention to those who scream loudest, they are rarely speaking for anywhere near a majority. Yes, of course, I pay attention to all the feedback but I think, given our success, the majority trust my judgment to get it just about right. (y)

What are you viewing it on. I use a laptop and it aint what it used to be...
Laptop, tablet but more often on my Sony smart phone. I think Jim has done really well to what outwardly appear to have been seamless changes although l bet he is paddling frantically under the surface.

Its the same tab, just with a different name. And it's better, much better because it stays put when you scroll so it's always there in the same place. Lots of people have got in the habit of clicking the logo so I ve added that back, but that does not stay on the page. You also have the lightning bolt for recent too, so you're spoilt for choice. Hope you get used to it soon (y)

I'me sure you get used to it quite quickly, I have to look at screenshots of the old forum to remind myself what it looked like and it's only been 6 days!

I'll stick with it Jim, but where's this lightening bolt you mentioned ?
It should be on a mobile phone or will appear if your PC browsing window is quite narrow, it will appear top right with the conversation and alert tabs.
