I'm a newbie
During the two and a half years I've had my van, I've had endless problems with my leisure battery. I have had to replace it a couple of times as it's run down to the point of no return. Before I go away, I religiously charge it for about six hours to get it fully topped up and I take it out for a good long run every fortnight just to stop it from dying. I was fairly sure it wasn't charging from the engine. I fried my electrics recently and today took it in to a lovely chap in South East London (Autoleck) to sort it out. Turns out that the damn thing, despite having terminals connected, is not connected to anything else! Don't I feel a prat?

More than likely you would have got help here, I always ask the funsters first.
Im not electronically minded but I invested in a multi meter so I dont have to worry about the battery getting to low. I check it regularly and depending on what im running.
