Well done, always good to hear about a warranty issue being recognised and fixed. Sad thing is that it will happen to the new replacements, as the lacquer on polished alloy wheels deteriorates with things like power washing and salts from the road.
Keep them polished and protected, they do look good.

Hard to tell from the photos but have the sharp edges been rounded off from the originals. I’d read somewhere that they were refurbishing them and that maybe the mod that cures the problem. We had ours replaced a couple of years ago and they are going again, it starts on the sharp edges on the wheel bolt holes where it’s practically impossible for the lacquer to adhere properly.
@SteveandDenise I missed the bit where you said they’d been radiused.

Not just the bolt holes, the small holes and spokes too by the look of it. As ours is coming up to five years old I don’t think we’ll stand any chance of further replacement so I’ll get ours done locally when they get much worse.

Had one of these diamond cut wheels refurbished under warranty at just over a year old, others started around 24 months notified the dealer and pointed out in writing it was a known issue and asked they forward it to Hymer. May last year all 4 wheels showed degradation again approached dealer with photos etc and suggested Hymer replace them with the later Goldsmitt type. Heard nothing for a month then dealer phoned to say Hymer had agreed to replace the wheels as a “gesture of goodwill” and as such fitting was to be met by me, no issues with that. Nothing more heard then dealer phoned 2 weeks ago to say new wheels had arrived. Picked them up last week and they are the Goldsmitt ones, yay great result thank you Hymer.
Local garage is fitting them for me on Wednesday next week, £15 per wheel incl balancing and metal hi press valves, well pleased. Old wheels to be returned in boxes to dealer for return to Hymer.

Can you post picture of old wheels(sorry if you have already done so) as this may help others if they have a similar problem.
I have never owned a set of "Diamond Cut" wheels on any vehicle that has not suffered the same problem.
The slightest stone chip will allow moisture to penetrate the lacquer coating, I have seen so many wheels come out of refurbishers that have been sprayed in one colour as they know the lacquer is not going to hold up as long as the painted areas.
Congrats on your success in getting new replacements,it was well worth the effort & wait in the end, maybe you should do the lottery also tonight.

Best be sure your garage has a rubber or plastic sleeved wheel nut socket, as using a metal one is a sure fire way to damage the clear coat.

Here ya go Les this was last June they are slowly getting worse. I am parked up next to a 5 year old Burstner with the same wheels and what a sight they are with corrosion.

Classic coatings in Grantham have the ability to refurb this kind of wheel to original finish about £70 a wheel.

I had my Burstner wheels replaced which went the same way (same as the Hymer ones). Burstner replaced them with painted wheels! They looked like the wheels were fitted with silver plastic wheel trims. They were the old wheels which had been stripped and painted. I complained that they were not as original but Burstner insisted that it was all they would do. Now the wheels are starting to corrode on the inside edges after two years. I guess I will have to get them redone at my own expense. A bit shoddy really.

Finished off today with the new nut caps, our wheels were replaced at around two years due to severe flaking then the brand new, replaced under warranty ones started to go again a year later. Hymer refused to replace them again. When the new ones were fitted I protected them with a very good quality wheel wax that made no difference.
So as said in other thread I had them done in black by a mobile alloy wheel refurb company, because the bloke lives just down the road.
£35 a wheel (guvvy) normally from £65 and he rounded off the sharp edges on the holes where it always appears to start.
Only trouble is I discovered today he set the tyre pressures at 30psi all round so I’ll have to drive slowly to the garage.
I think

Consider spraying your new diamond cut wheels with ACF-50 to protect from corrosion.
