Hymer step buzzer

My step buzzer has stopped buzzing
I found it next to the EBL, can I replace it with a cheap buzzer off ebay at about £2.50 ?
Must be the cheapest fix ever if it'll work
Makes a nice change

Yes a cheap buzzer will do. Another cause of buzzer not working is a corroded wire going to the step on/off button

I have a 2005 655 starline. No buzzer what’s the location of the duff buzzer please the dashboard step retract switch works ok just no buzzing ? I ordered the eBay one above in anticipation

OK, seems I jumped to the wrong conclusion, the buzzer works on bench test, so I got the multimeter out and there is no current going to buzzer connections so I`ll look for the corroded wire spongebob mentioned.
Is there a microswitch on the step ?

Mine is in the cabinet with the slide top and next to the EBL
Seems like you have the same symptoms as me so your buzzer may be ok and fault elsewhere, corroded wire ?
I`ll get under the van tomorrow and have a look

if You have a twin step the switch is under the top step. I believe the wire which goes to the switch is screwed to the chassis the other end which makes the circuit

Can be anywhere normally near the Schaudt step control box, mine is under the passenger seat (LHD), last Hymer is was under the kitchen draws.
