I wondered if anyone can advise how I can remove the inner cover on a Hymer B698 80x50 RoofVent (see pic). I need to adjust/repair the roller tension on the flyscreen. I have removed the end plates which where just clipped on to reveal 4 screws which I have also removed. Now do I just pull hard and hope it comes away or should I be doing something else ??
Any advise appreciated.

Cheers...Keith

There is a forum on Facebook specifically for Hymers. I'm sure someone on there will be able to help you.

I believe that you just pull it down as it is held in place by several clips, recently helped a friend with one so give it a good tug. Pain to get back in place though.

Can I second this question to anybody who has actually done it. I have the same problem with a non retracting bug screen.
A hard pull might be the answer but could be a very expensive mistake with the price of Hymer spares.
There may possibly be more screws or it may have to slide side words first.
Accurate answers most welcome, thanks.

Yes I've done it !
As well as the screws at each end you need to take the 4 lamps out, there are screws there as well.
The lamps turn anti clock wise to release. If you find them slippery try a rubber glove on your hand.

The lamp wiring is at the rear & runs in trunking to one of the off side lockers. theres a connector to disconnect it. A bit ungainly when it swings down.
