I’m currently sat in Campirama in Belgium, enjoying a cup of their nice coffee.
Have been told a Hymer rep is visiting them next week to discuss pricing for next year, but for certain the price of all Mercedes based Hymers will be going up 10K Euro next year🤯

Not so much 'That's how the cookie crumbles'; more 'That's the way the Mercedes Benz' ... (y) :giggle:

I’m thinking “How much can we push the price and they will still pay”

Might just be a salesman’s story to get people to order now

True enough, but then, there not really much stock here, apart from Carado’s, and they are Fiat based.
Be interesting to see if Fiat reciprocate , particularly as their vans have updated for next year.

Well I’m told all 2022 Hymer orders sold, looking at 2023 for a fresh factory order!
Mores salesman talk?

I am looking at having a damp check done on Hymer (for warranty purposes) next year. Do you recommend this dealer and how much notice do they need for a booking?

Will be travelling through Belgium in Feb hopefully

Yes definitely, Lenny put me on to them, he has bought a couple of Hymers from them and users them for damp check, they are cheaper than U.K. and the coffee is good! There is also overnight parking.

We bought from them and use them for damp checks. I thoroughly recommend. Much less expensive than TW, and a very easy process.

Our next appointment for a damp check is 18th Oct. We are currently in France and will have it done on our way back to the Tunnel. We booked it two weeks ago, but they only asked us to give them a week's notice 👍.

Just over a week ago I was chatting to the owner as dealers goes they are very up front and he was telling me Hymer cut his allocation in half and has only got 350 vans for next year and they have already sold over half of them and any new orders will be 2023 models delivery from next September onward.

The west compound is normally full of cravens about 100, completely empty and the compound on the other side normally full of Motorhomes mostly new ones, about a dozen s/h ones at the moment. The showroom is normally rammed, hardly any in there and all spread out.

well thats ruled me out i suppose i will just have to buy a morelo

I was talking to a Hymer dealer at the Stratford show last month (he was there on a personal basis, not work).
They sold out their 2022 Hymer allocation weeks ago and will sell out their 2023 allocation before Christmas 2021.

Which means for Hymers by the end of 2021 you will be looking at 2024 delivery!

Like many dealers the problem is not selling the vans, it's getting the stock, and Hymer, like most other manufacturers have rationed each dealer to a limited number.

The dealer reckoned that if he could get hold of the new Hymer Crossover vans he could sell one a day, every day, for the foreseeable future at £120,000 each! (which is 20% more than the equivalent van cost 2 years ago)

The Crossovers are £130k euro at the German dealers, I was interested!

Is it £130,000 or €130,000? Dunno why I'm asking, 'cos even with a 15%'ish reduction if the price is in €s, I doubt it will be in this year's Xmas Stocking ... :giggle:

If new ones go up, second hand go up also…. It’s not looking good for me getting another…😔

That’s Euro, saw 2 FS at the dealer at Dachau recently and Durrwang have a couple due in
