scotjimland submitted a new Showcase Item:

Decided to go back to tugging and it had to be another Hymer.

Hymer Nova 470 , same build quality and PUAL construction method as the Hymer motorhomes..

Kitchen

3 burner gas hob

Smev oven/ grill

Dometic fridge with freezer compartment runs from 240v, 12v or gas

Extractor fan over hob to the outside of the caravan

Hot and cold to mixer tap over stainless sink. Sink cover

Downlighter over all kitchen area

Shower room / toilet

Very spacious shower room/ toilet with great wardrobe space

Electric flush toilet

Opening roof vent with flyscreen and blind

Separate shower cubicle

Living Area

Main living area has two large sofas which convert into either two singles or a large double bed. Storage underneath

Ample high level storage lockers

Large Heki roof light with flyscreen and blind

Mood lights

Reading lights

Downlights

Tilt and swivel TV bracket

Chest of drawers with fold out table top for dining, in addition there is a large folding table stored in the wardrobe

The main door is split in two and has full pull across flyscreen

Control panel with 12 master switch, onboard water tank level and battery level indicator

All windows have flyscreens and blinds

Heating and hot water

Truma Boiler EL water heater runs off gas or 240v

Truma Ultra Heat blown air heating system again runs off gas or 240v. This is switchable to draw either 500w, 1000w or 2000w from the 240v hookup. Very useful if campsite supply is restricted.

There is an onboard water tank, a real benefit in winter as no more frozen external tanks. In addition there is a pump to take supply from an Aquaroll or similar source

I have twice been tempted by one, looked at a Scout, same vehicle but with 4 wheel drive, lovely drive it was. 2012 model.

The last caravan we had was a Hymer Nova 2003 with fixed twin beds at the front and an L shaped lounge, a bit longer but a lovely van and we were sad to see it go 3 years ago to a Frenchman who was siting it permanently at Fuzeta in Portugal.

If we had not done the same at Cabanas with our 5'er we would have done the same when we bought the campervan.
