If it is the rubber that sits in the roof glass in a recess, the best thing is a super glue that works on rubber and plastic.

Can you give a bit more information to describe the problem? Perhaps a picture might help.
The rubber sealing strip on my Hymer roof vent is a push-fit down over the scuttle onto which the roof vent closes downwards. So the rubber strip would not be able to 'fall off'.

roof vents

This has reminded me that both our roof vents on iveco are stuck and we cant open them at all. We will be taking the van in to garage next month but does any one know of a common problem? it is a newly purchased 1997 iveco daily conversion. Are the plastic catches and push ups corroded/perished perhaps? Tried WD40 of course! The cubicle one is fine but a different make....

meant to say. Araldite, Araldite. every time. It is a combination glue and fixes anything!
