Hi,

My Hymer has a horrible vague (feels like cable activated) remote lever in the garage to open the waste valve, which appears to be leaking. A convenient, if inappropriate way to empty the tank ;-) I cannot reach the valve from inside the van, my arms are not long enough.

I did find an inspection cover when looking underneath the van, which I guess will give access to whatever controls the voiding of the tank. It's held on by four screws and, I imagine, some kind of sealant. Any idea what kind of sealant may have been used, and what should I use to reseal it?

Thanks...Keith

My stupid cable thing broke, very luckily for me it was wide open so I just left well alone and added a ball valve to the end of the pipe . Cutting it back enough so the valve was just under the body, can easily reach and shouldn’t knock off 🤔👍

hopefully you can find a way to open your valve and do the same , when I looked as close as I could get I could not find an obvious way to change the cable or valve, which looks to be plastic welded to the tank 🤔
