I started Harry yesterday without any problems and an Airbag Fault symbol popped up, then a message displayed on the instrument cluster.
The Battery is stable at 12.7v no jump start and no crash.
what equipment do I need to read the fault code and any recommendations ?
Mr Fiat wants £150 to read the fault.
Thanks

Take the airbag ecu out and send it to a company like crashdata, which will reset it for you.and advise the likely fault.
Costs around £65 plus postage by you..

If you have freindly ocal garage with a multiscan they can plug it into your obd port to advise the fault but they can't reset it. It can be read in a few minutes. And a report sent to your e mail address.

Carefully check all the wires under the seat they are known for getting caught in the seat swivel.
If all OK it is probably the ECU I checked mine with an Autel reader.

Whatever you do don't sent it to Crash Data just a load of crooks don't offer any warranty. Repaired mine it failed in under 2 weeks and they wanted to charge again to reset it.

Better to get it replaced by a Fiat dealer, expensive but you get a two year warranty and none of this crap about too hight or low voltage.
