Since 2008 & many years tugging
It’s an old Hymer 2.8tdi 2000 model year. My sprinter is 180amp. My last two sprinters motorhomes were 240amp.

what do you suggest as the highest I use with 110ah ?
Probably be OK with a 40 amp, I don't think I would want to go higher. The problem is just after starting the engine the alternator is going to be whacking loads of amps into the starter battery add the B2B to that you could easily overload the alternator.

I have looked at upgrading the alternator, can’t seem to find a company who would even look at the idea.

A long time
You won’t get an easier install than a 30amp Votronic.
I have been doing a lot more research on this subject and will report back some of my findings.

The first of which is to say that I think you are correct with this.

If I was starting from scratch now, this is the way I would go.
