I guess it will depend on the type of valve, may just be something stuck in it, poke something up when emptying next

On our Hymer we had a gate valve operated by a wire, bloody useless idea, luckily ours failed fully open and I fitted a new valve at end of pipe

Hi, when you say dump valve do you mean the heater dump valve?

Hi I’m afraid there is no quick fix on those, is it the type with the blue button on the side and lever on top.
The best thing to try is to activate the dump valve manually just in case there is a bit of lime scale stopping it seating properly.

sorry, misread the question, we used to have a peg on our older system to hold it up, got Alde now so don't have that problem at least

A soaking in hot white vinegar, preferably white wine vinegar often does the trick, should get rid of any calcium build up

There's a motorhome sales and service place near you that might have spares:

Caravanas Sangar

Lat.: 37° 39' 35" N
Long.: 0° 54' 14" W

Easy access just off motorway. We've used them a few times when staying in that area.

Had similar on my van. Opened and closed the valve a few times and it must have released some limescale or grit as once it was flushed been fine ever since. (y)
