This was a reply by @GWAYGWAY to an earlier question about the underbed light fuse......might help

On a Merc there are some Hymer ones under the right hand seat bottom row at front. Hang by your ankles down the seat side on an A class, van cab, very easy

If you look in instruction book, there is usually a manual way to resolve.

Bear in mind.. if you find a blown fuse, they are safety devices and blow for a reason.. not because they are fed up..

find the fuse, then look for the cause of it blowing..

replacing the fuse without finding the cause it will simply blow again..

I don't know this system.. so generic suggestions.

seized mechanism or gear box, bearings etc
burned out motor
damaged supply or control cable, shorting out +pos to -neg or -pos to ground.

An electric drop down bed must rank as one of the most useless inventions of all time, they're always going wrong and an ordinary pull down one is no effort and far more reliable.

Welcome aboard. I had a problem with my electric drop down bed. It's not a Hymer but could be the same principle. make sure your batteries are charged or better still connect the van to EHU
Press and hold down the down button on the control and hold it for about 30 seconds. See if that does the trick. It did on ours. Good luck.

I have to agree the one on my Frankia took ages to come down by push button. The hymer one takes a second to pull down and push up.

That and the electric opening skylight were the two stupidest inventions on the Frankia both unecesary

Yep been there and done that. Never again will I have anything to do with an electric bed. They always pack up at the most inconvenient times like when you want to drive off or when you want to get to bed after a long day behind the wheel. It’s one of those MH innovations that should be consigned to the scrap heap.

If you cannot find a fuse or it keeps blowing looks like a trip to the Dealers.
