Driving this appeals to my inner childishness ... thou I reckon inside that MLT would be creaking and rattling like crazy on the off-road course.

We have a MLT (2x4)
It does not creak, as the external shell is a single unit, there is zero wood in a Hymer construction.
As for rattles. Most of the rattles can be cured by padding out the contents of the lockers.

Thought about a 4x4 when purchasing our Grand Canyon, to be honest couldn't justify addition cost and sub 20mpg.
Not sure I would need or use 4x4 enough, 4x4 on our car has never been used in the last three years so reluctant to spend on Camper.
Sprinter 4x4's do look great though with the black rhino wheels and Owl accessories.
100k with options is pushing it for a PVC, others my disagree?
