Hi I need to remove the fridge on our 1996 Hymer B584 to service it. I am sure there is more to it than meets the eye. I have found the 4 screws beneath the caps ( 2 each side left and right) in front but it still won't budge. Anyone any ideas?

Thanks
Michael

The screws cause the metal case of the fridge around each screw hole to dig into the wood at each side. It takes a bit of wiggling to move it. You also need to remove the upper vent outside the van to disconnect the gas. You can push on the top of the fridge through the vent which will help it start to move. Mine's a 2005 B584.

Our local engineer had to remove the fridge from our Hymer B774 yesterday and he couldn't believe how firmly stuck in it was. It took him a long time to get it out ::bigsmile:
