Hymer 12V grey waste

Help. I own a Hymer B598PL 2015. The 12V grey waste solenoid valve is not closing with the switch and making a clicking noise when switched on. I have sent pictures to a motorhome dealer of the solenoid valve, they have quoted £441.00 for a replacement! Please advice best options, picture attached.

Alan and Kate I do not know if it is any help but www.sargentltd.co.uk have what looks like a similar unit shown in their online shop (£66.72p ) that may do the same job if it can be fitted .

At that price I'd replace it with a Flexi pipe and ball valve tap.

Hi, if it was working fine before, before replacing it, make sure that the pipe and valve are clean. If there is debris trapped in the area where the solenoid closes, it may just provide too much resistance and click. Good luck.

The Lilie one is about €130 but no one in the UK sells it.
That Sargent ones looks identical but you may find the valve is 28mm rather than 40mm that Hymer use.
Ring them & find out, you might want to ask them if is the same as the Lilie one.

If the valve is 28mm you should be able to just swap the solenoid over.

We have the manual version, thankfully it failed open , I now have a £20 ball valve, easy access, virtually fail proof
