Peter, that was just rude - but fun...
--
I had fun once when my son's form at prep school had a new form master who was Welsh.

Over a home weekend, I said to Andy "Do you know how to say 'good morning teacher' in Welsh?" ..."No"

"It's Upu Chwm" I explained, and he practised it over the weekend. I took him back on Sunday eveining, and he set about teaching everyone in his dorm that night.

Monday morning. Third Form classroom. Enter Form Master. Boys rise.

Teacher "Good morning. boys"

Boys, in unison: "Upu Chwm".

Luckily. the head smelt a rat, knew me pretty well, so the lads actually got away with it....

the cornish language is made up of many breton and welsh words i am told if you speak any of them portugese is easy to learn .i struggle with a new cornish dictionary but most of it is based on 1800.s way of speaking. be nice to be fluent but its not really used here. and most teachers shy away if i sugest teaching it. (they cant speak any).cheers alan
ps. imprint i think its coth map in cornish.
