Not sure if I understand the problem. There should be a prop that you install to take the weight until the wheels are attached.
Some dispense with the jack entirely and use a ramp.

Ramp gets my vote, it’s just so easy 👍

Thanks for the feedback, and indeed you are correct.
My previous statement that the entire weight of the bike is taken by the tow hitch during hydraulic lift is indeed incorrect, my apologies. The prop does indeed take the majority of the load.
I am however experiencing some movement/twisting of the tow bar during the lifting process (specific to the T-Line) and the additional bottle jack seems to provide additional stability.
I will also try the suggested ramp method as a simpler alternative.👍
