Technically speaking Geo.....your Mirada has two (if I remember correctly) - left and right :winky:

On the other hand....... A C class built on a van chassis will only have one.

Ah So Upto now your thinking like me, but do insurance companys think in the same language,
A one piece screens costs about £3000-3500 to replace
split screens about £1200-£1800 each
Windscreen cover with Tower Bakers has been reduced to £2000 max per claim
so a brick right in the middle breaking both = one claim or two,
I dont know do you ???

When i was ringing around for quotes this year it was either safeguard or sureteam would only payout the sum i paid for my RV in the states excluding duties, shipping and conversion costs:Doh:

Also I wasn't joking about having a named second driver reducing the premium:Doh::RollEyes:

Insurance companies live in a world of their own.

Geo, is this a theoretical question, or do you need glass? :winky:

Hi Sharon,Its that time of year again, Insurance renewal, and just to keep it interesting they keep moving the goal posts
Just when you think you've everything covered a hole appears would have been delighted to stay with the firm Keith advised me of but they cant or won't extend "at any price" the policy to cover the North African (as they call it) tour.
So I am forced to shop around yet again picking at the assortment of cover available, also looking for the pitfalls, I'm sure they do it deliberately to dissuade you from moving away from them, the point of the post was to try and figure out with others help if certain RV's, IE yours and mine for instance had in fact got two windscreens?? and if so would they be treated as separate for any claim or lumped together as one claim thereby halving there payout, I think I knew the answer before I posted,
So thanks for your concern,No thankfully I don't need glass,I spoke to Travelworld today regarding costs etc (Keith I do listen ) But they were very cagey about giving me a price
