Just thought I would show everyone how I fulfilled some of my time during lockdown, and this was my project.we decided that our motorhome looked a little bit too white so thought I would have a go at vinyl wrapping as opposed to the other rapping!
Well not sure if it was a good or bad idea, my main concern is the durability and longevity of the wrap .The manufacturer I am a little sceptical of as sometimes they can be let’s say inaccurate with their assumptions! Nevertheless they suggest 8/10 years and apparently is removable without damaging the original surface during this predicted period .So here goes bought the vinyl and necessary tools for my job.

It’s a sort of partial wrap and decals so here are a few photos good or bad hum !

Impressive job. How did you get the nice neat cut lines ? Keep looking at the films and wraps but couldn’t fire out how to cut to the required shapes in anyway that looked professional

Looks stunning mate. A very professional looking job. 👍🥃⭐

Wow, I'm very impressed. Also interested as I need to cover a few areas.
Please can you post a before picture?
Also where did you buy the decals from?

Looks very good indeed!(y)(y)(y)
However, the wrapping on the number plates could have been a bit better done! Also concerned it may be illegal to do so!:whistle2::winky:;):giggle:

How did you get all the bubbles out?

Any tips?

Cheers James

If you are happy with the result that’s all that matters. (y) My thoughts are it looks good much better than plain white, makes it more individual.(y)

The trick is I know it seems obvious but try not to get any bubbles or wrinkles to begin with ,the idea is to remove a small amount of the backing paper and gradually smooth out the vinyl as you go.

I wonder Did you notice the piece by the front side door it’s where the champagne was launched from when we named the van?

I think you have done an amazing job, it look 100% professional.

Hello again the tape I used was called wrapcut pro its on a roll of 45 metres x 5mm wide

Thx for all the info. Going to be doing some research into this knifeless cutting tape again. Seem to recall heraing about it before but could get my head round how it could work! Could be fun!!

Looks amazing and very professional so well done.
Unfortunately, I can't even get the screen protector on my phone fitted correctly

Wow. Watched a few videos on the wrapcut. Was it as easy to use as they show?

The graphics on our Rienza are looking faded maybe this would be a way to refresh its looks.Any volunteers welcome.

It's one of the best looking vans i've seen, very cool indeed.

How much would you charge for a Laika EcoVip:LOL:

Seriously i think you have a talent and i fully agree about the plain white ice cream vans looking so boring.

You used to just prick em with a pin or razor and squeedgeee the bubbles out easy enough.
Now though Avery make wrap now that doesnt need that, the air "leeches" out through the vinyl, they call it RAPID AIR release system vinyl

10/10 for your patience and skill, it looks very professional, well done(y)

Thermal reactive wrapping would be good. White in summer to reflect heat and a dark colour in winter to absorb it.
