Posted on another thread yesterday but rather than spam @Southdowners thread, thought it best to start my own(y)

I’ve just returned from collecting my pride and joy from AS Airsuspension after having the HPC system installed.

They have done a fantastic job with the installation, taking pride in their work and carrying out the installation as though it were their own MH. After having the rear air assist fitted by them last year, I knew that I could rely on them for the more expensive upgrade of levellers.

I had an under slung gas tank fitted at the same time to free up the space in the gas locker for the pump. I can also now fit a shelf above the pump and therefore, I consider that I’ve gained additional storage space rather than lose it.

At present HPC are including the Bluetooth option in with the standard price of the system, so an added bonus.

The rams look very substantial, the spreader plates are a good size and reported to spread the load well on softer ground. The control panel looks modern and intuitive to use, not that I intend using it very often as the app replicates all options available. The pump is compact and accessible for all maintenance matters when required.

I’ve only been demonstrated the system and had a little play once home but looking forward to using the system when we get away later this month.

Highly recommend AS Airsuspension and initial impressions of the HPC system is very good.

Pictures of system.

Looks a nice neat job
May we ask how the price compares with E&P?

Thanks @Robert Clark, Phil & Jon at AS really do take pride in their work that makes it a pleasure to hand ove the readies on completion.

Price was very similar to the E&P system quoted to me when deciding which system to have. Certainly worth anyone thinking of going down this route to give both companies a call(y)

Agree with every word about AS, they did a very good job of fitting air assist to our Alko rear end on 20/12/17. Definitely highly recommend them. Very good people Phil, John and Cath, to deal with. I know SAP get a lot of good reports and no doubt well deserved but I think AS must be up there with them regarding attention to detail and workmanship.
The pump looks quite compact, though I still don't understand why the E&P one can go underneath in a purpose made box and the HPC has to be inside somewhere. We've just recently had twin 11kg Alugas fitted in our locker so we're not about to start thinking of an under slung tank so we can accommodate the pump.
We would like to consider the HPC system but can't justify the loss of space to fit the pump in somewhere, looks like at least four boxes of wine.

(y)We used AS suspension to install rear assisted to enable to increase our payload (also greatly inproved the handling too which we werent expecting.).

We had a slow puncture losing, spoke to Phil who asked us to bring motorhome in where they checked or replaced every part which could cause the problem (turned out to be the gauge itself which they said was almost never heard of)

Must of cost them quite a lot of time and money but they were so friendly and cheerful about it , fitting us in quickly and apologetic even though it would of been the suppliers fault not theirs)

I always think you can judge a Company more when things go wrong and their after customer care was brilliant.

Will also put in Reviews as highly recommended

Looks like a nice piece of kit, sure you will have hours of fun with it.
May I ask what van you have and is that an Alco Chassis?
Thanks

@Hellski you might find you use the app more than you think, if you use spreader plates its good to get the jacks part way down and then get the plates square underneath, I use our E&P remote all the time.

Pleased your happy, have heard good things about AS so all credit to them.

Just to conclude on this thread, I’ve now installed a removable shelf above the hydraulic pump. Rather than losing a locker, I’ve gained one;)

I’ve also made more space in the garage by removing the jack & tool kit, as well as the Levelling ramps:D

The pump looks quite compact, we are enquiring if it can go in a box descending through the floor of our off side locker. There's enough room for it underneath.

Can I ask how much they charged for that please and how big it was

The autogas tank, hoses, CS regulator, led level gauge and installation was £780.

With the Fiat chassis, I was able to install the 30 ltr tank that has a 24 ltr working gas capacity at 80% and 12kg working gas capacity once filled.

If you have room for a larger tank, then I believe the cost increase is marginal as the parts and installation are the same.

Thank you for that Christian. I have the Alko maxi chassis, but we also have a couple of basement boxes so I am not sure we will have the room for a gas tank, but I will do a bit more investigating. 12kg, is nearly half the capacity we have at the minute with our 2 x 11kg gaslows.

I like the idea of getting an additional locker near the front wheels that I could store heavy items in. Our rear axle is getting near its load capacity whereas the front has plenty to spare.

What depth is the box please
The measurement's for the box are 500 L x 260 W x 270 Deep, plus a 30mm lip on each side.
I'm not sure if it will work yet as I want the pipes/wires to come out of the sides of the box to where they need to go, not through the top as I intend to put a lid on it, keeping the locker space. I'm waiting for a reply from AS.

Any reason AS can't fit everything underneath and then fabricate a box around it all?

They've (AS) not said a definite no to this, but have not suggested it either when I expressed concern at losing locker space. I contacted HPC HQ by email and asked the same question. They referred me back to AS but with the box solution in my previous post, it'd work for us if they can do it.

Update from my previous post, all fitted this week and collected today. Phil even made us a cover the exact size of the locker floor, when that’s in you can’t tell anything’s in there.
Really neat job, can’t recommend them highly enough. We’ve downloaded the app to our phones to control it Bluetooth remotely too.
Lovely people to deal with, lessens the sting of parting with the money.

Looking good!!

Was the box fabricated to suit your vehicle? Or is this a standard option now?

How much can it lift the front by? My van sits very 'nose down' :)

The box is a standard size to accommodate the pump, the sizes are in post #20, it’s not a standard option, it’s an extra £150 to supply and fit but well worth it.
I lifted the front end completely of the ground, wheels spinning when trying it out, plus you can also put boards under the jacks if need further lift height.

Did they supply the box? Or did you have to source it?

Can I also ask how long the system takes to 'get level'?

Sorry for all the questions, but I've got my HPC installation booked in a couple of months :X3:
