After seven years owning Howie the Talbot, he died in the garage at MOT time. We had only intended keeping him for a year to see how we got on with the whole motorhoming thing. As it turns out, we used him a lot more than just holidays. I used him in the week for visits to our local beauty spots for a walk and lunch. We used him as a base for out kids and their families at Stanwick Lakes. We went away lots of weekends to pub stops and of course, we spent lots of time in Europe.
But all is not lost. We have just picked up our "next" van and can't believe how much easier to use it is! Anyhoo, the pictures show our new purchase, it is a 55 plate Autocruise Starkeeper. It does need a clean out, the last owner had dogs and wet ones at that! So we will get it professionally cleaned. Got it at a very good price too, so although sad that Howie has gone (both sides rear spring hangers detached and damp everywhere) we did get £2000 for him.
Evidently, the guy was a Trekie! NC1701E is the number of the Starship Enterprise! I may well remove that . Anyhoo, this is "Lizzie".
