hi I thought it would be a good idea instead off top tips or common asked questions is to have basic question s answerd in section for newbies ie a title saying ............ HOW TOO... this would be easy base for new members or campers visting this site ... so start the heading HOW TOO...hook up properly or filling your water tank
or empty the portaloo in chemical waste or dropping the grey water all basic question s that new campers will need to know when they camp for first time you all have to start somewhere what do you think!!??

It is surprising how quickly we forget about the thosands of daunting questions we all had before our first outing, all things which we now do routinely and take for granted, so a simple "HowTo" section would be a great bonus for beginners.
You have just volunteered to start it off by the way

I think that's a great idea.
There were, and still are,many daunting things that present themselves when starting out, and, with the mass of experience on a site like this, there must be someone who can answer.
I know that when I bought my first Motorhome I was VERY conscious of making a P**t of myself on-site.

We are off for the first long journey in France in a week and having only spent 2 nights in our van am quite expecting to make a lot of mistakes.

I have asked basic questions, but until we meet the problems we dont even know what questions to ask.....

I lie awake worrying if we are going to remember everything

hi some more ideas for how too s for beginners please

things that come to mind are ... towing
winterising motorhome
going abroad for the 1st time
awnings and free standing awnings

any more remember these are mainly aimed at newbies a bit like
[computers for dummies books] no offence a database on the forum for beginners which they can get some idea when they aririve on site what to do!!!!!!!!!
