I'm a Progressing Newbie
Only parked on our drive but just had our first night in our new portable home ?
We both had a decent sleep but I thought we’d have to abandon when MrsKevenh realised we can’t lock our main habitat door from the inside ?

We’ve a 56 plate Compass Anantgarde 120. Pic of our door handle attached.
Operator error is our hope but happy to hear/read about your solutions ?

Sorted! ?
Unless I misunderstood some of the feedback, there wasn’t really one fully right reply - it was a combination of several ideas that helped.
So many thanks all contributors??

if you lock & unlock the main habitat door externally from outside, the key slot finished vertical. Finishing either to the left or right. Like l. Or .l
If you take out the key with the slot at the bottom & horizontal (like _ ), then the internal controls are fully enabled.
This allows us to lock the door
I'm sure we had one like that many years ago, seem to remember you turn it one way to undo, and the other way to lock it. :D Bob.

Thanks for the prompt feedback. We’ve a great bunch here ??

You’re describing using the knob central in the pick?
Moving one way - clockwise - does let us out.
Anti-clockwise has a lot of resistance and doesn’t move much ?

I’ll try again after some spinach if that should move more.

edit: and I’ll try the locking mechanism with the door open too ?

The keyhole on the outside has to be in one position though , we had this on our old one, never did discover any other way than one of us had to go outside and lock the door with the key then the person inside had to unlock from inside then the person outside gets in then the door will lock again from inside.
Quite a rigmarole I know but it worked for us.

Can you lock from outside from the inside it’s anti clockwise as your lock door as it’s on the other side from ours

From memory I think you have to turn the key fully then back to vertical.

The vehicle bit locks with the 'lock' button on the dashboard next to the hazard switch.

Just as a bit more security, we have a strap, similar to a suitcase strap with a clip on it, that goes around the door handle and around the grab rail to get in, if you have one.

Click central knob to the left, try door from outside. Should be locked.:-)

You need to lubricate the top pin of the lock with door open. It has two positions when lock engages. First is like a latch, and second position (doorly completely closed) allows a turn anti clockwise to lock inside.
We thought ours was faulty but then after slamming door it turned.
However, it is strange you can lock with key presumably? Maybe you don't realise you close it with more force from outside than when pulling shut.

Solution
When you turn the knob anti clockwise to lock, pull the door handle towards you. The door could be slightly bowed and you need to reduce the pressure on the lock.

Make sure you regularly practice emergency escape plan via front or back . Well worth the small amount of time invested I have a Stanley knife ready to cut strap if in a hurry
