How to get ACSI book for 2018 if already abroad? (1 Viewer)

Will be away from uk nov 2017 till April 2018 but acsi cant deliver books till late December to home address
As relying on card whilst away has anybody come across a way around this or will sites accept 2017 card?

I have no personal experience because I so rarely stop on a campsite (last time must have been at least 7 years ago) but I have heard mention that a lot of ACSI sites will match or charge less than the official ACSI rates even if you do not have a card at all.

Last year whilst in Benidorm we got one from the site Arena Blanca, which are ACSI in January. In fact if you do not want the books the site sold the ACSI card on its own for 10 euro. That is all I wanted as I use the app and lap top to find sites.

That's useful, we were wondering the same thing. We've stayed on three sites in France so far and saved many times what the card cost. On none of those sites would it have been possible to get the same or better price without the card.

If not get them sent to a friend in the UK and get them to send I think post restante to any post office that will accept it,difficult to ask if you can't speak Spanish I know. I had something g sent to a French post office and a Portuguese one, they won't accept a parcel though.

If you are au fait with a smartphone or tablet I recommend the ACSI discount App. you need the code off the membership card to activate it for the year. It stops working I think in the second week of Jan the following year.

For the last two years winter touring we have bought the book, daughter (at home) has sent photo of membership card and we have used the photo and app. Haven't been refused once. In fact the books remain unopened

We are staying at a site this winter and friends have told us that usually about thirty or more books arrive in reception for pickup so if your staying somewhere abroad the will post them to you there.

Normally acsi sites have them for sale . We managed to get ours last year the day before we left but made a point of looking to see if sites had them , and they did

The books don’t vary that much year on year. Also app. Is good for any updates. I just got a friend to open the package when it arrived at home in U.K., she then just sent the card from the back of the book out in a standard letter. Allowed us to use it on return trip for small postage cost.
