And now back to the tech stuff..... Are your batteries lead acid? do they come with vent tubes? even maintenence free as I bought from alpha battries did not come with vent tubes, had to ask for them. make sure you vent them to the outside open flames and charging batteries dont mix!

On the tech stuff, it will depend on how the batteries are wired up. If wired to the same point, each joining wire will be taking only ¼ of the overall current, so only the inverter will need the larger wires. Keep them as short as possible and add a fuse.
