How safe is Calais Carrefour or Auchan for day time shopping

Has anyone had experience over say last six months before French lockdown of stopping and shopping at either Carrefour or Auchan at Calais. Concerned about break ins even during daytime by thieves or immigrants. Any advice would be appreciated thanks
