Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
I've just been fitting some quick release 8mm gas connectors onto our motorhome & yes the female pipe is onto the bottle regulator side (our van doesn't have the fixed regulator).

I'd bought new gas hose last year, but it was date stamped 2019, so I thought I was on safe ground, but the amount of perishing on the hose has shocked me.

So my question to all on here who can help, is, how often should the flexi hose be replaced?

TIA kind regards....Robert.

Buy some stainless steel ones from gas low , think they do stuff without any rubber involved.

Since 2008 & many years tugging
Low pressure one used on bottle top regulators, 5 years.
High pressure ones used with bulkhead regulators, 10 years.

They are the same size so you can use high pressure hose on the low pressure side.

Several years now
We changed ours this year as it was seven years old. Looked as good as new.
Any rubber gas hose should NOT be cracking at one year old !
