I can’t say that I am an enthusiastic motorhome washer.

The last time we washed it was March this year.

It needs a wash now but it feels a bit cold so it will probably be Next Spring when it next sees some attention.

What about you?

we are blessed with an eastern European ex garage now car wash down the road, they turn down pressure and avoid all vents, £15 inc leather drying (y)(y) I know some will say I shouldn't, but without that mine would be as dirty as yours Chris :LOL:

nobody has cleaned the roof though since I gave it half baked effort when nearly new to us

seriously considering a full valet by one of our own on here at some point soon :)(y)

edit - still only been done twice this year though before and after Norway (y)

Whenever it really needs it. Don't believe in weekly or fortnightly cleaning for example.

Looking a little untidy now as last driven it was hissing down. We are due to part ex in a couple of weeks. If the forecast is good for handover day I will give it a good clean if rainy I will leave it as, after an 80 mile trip, it will be mucky again.

However, the inside has been emptied, vacuumed and polished until it shines.(y)

I try and clean it after every trip and the roof three times a year. But I am lucky as i have the motorhome on my drive plus the car gets a wash as well

Once a year maybe.

It’s dirty now but it can stay dirty until the weather is warmer.

Ours is stored under cover so it’s dusty rather than dirty really

We have been motorhomers for 6 years, having had our first one for 5 and 1/2 years and our present one for 6 months. Asked the dealer to wash the first one when doing the annual habitation service, although I did occasionally wash the cab part in addition. Our new one hasn’t been washed yet but you are making me feel guilty, so I will look out my bucket and sponge in early Spring. Possibly.

I don't wash mine as often this last two weeks, the shower is broken and the water is freezing. :(

Sandra, can I borrow your mum with regards to my van though. ;)

So I am starting to think you are a bit of a wimp if you wash it more than twice a year or if you support England at rugby.(y)

not quite sure where that leaves me then (i'm sure you'll tell me though:rolleyes:) cos I'd rather wash the M/home starkers in a snow storm than support any rugby team(y)(y)

After every long trip I take it to the hand car wash for a £15 wash job. (Shorts I don't usually bother) They do an ok job but not great so I tend to go home and get the leather out to try and fettle it a bit.

I have been looking on this site about roof washing tonight.. Its my plan tomorrow but my current stumbling blocks are my mum borrowed my Jet Wash and is away until Thursday and I have no idea how to get that high unless I stand on the roll bars of my Hilux which does not sound over safe.

Is it ok to walk on the roof? I weigh 125kg fully clothed.

Short while after a gap of many years.
I've had the Paintseal treatment on mine and you can forget all the foaming, waxing, polishing stuff - it simply needs a quick brush over with their shampoo additive - about 20cc per bucket of water and it comes up like new!!

Drive it through the rain and you get a cleaning action - it's that good - so pretty minimal cleaning required.

First saw it being applied at Premium motorhomes in Doncaster who use them to revive older trade-ins apparently.

https://paintsealdirect.com/commercial/

Warning - it ain't cheap!!
