Having stayed there before, though we might have a couple of nights at Padstow Touring park, motorhome on hard standing pitch with electric, minimum of 4 nights only! July £205 No thanks!
Last time we went away with Martin's niece and her two kids the CMC wanted almost £500 for 2 weeks. We ended up on a lovely CL for £140 for the 2 weeks. Facilities might not have been as swish but everything we wanted was available and it was much closer to where we wanted to be - heritage railway / bus route etc.
I priced up Haven in black rock sands, greenacres, Porthmadog for 2nd week in Aug £600+ can’t remember the + bit but it wasn’t coppers. Will leave it. During non high season can get it for £100 for a week.
My mate went to Chertsey C&CC last weekend 2 nights had Grandaughter for one night with them £72. 45. I was shocked they had to pay for a 5 year old.
He was going to do some of the UK this year after that shock he has decided to go to France.
These prices are making us glad that we live on the Continent so -
a) no ferrrry cost
b) Aires and Stellplatz for free or only a few quid.
From the days when I was using the odd CS/CL the prices seemed to have increased a lot, but I suppose they are pricing relative to the high prices of campsites.
Supply and demand. Some friends have used a seasonal pitch in Norfolk for years, the owner has said not doing it this year. Too many people having a staycation.
