I have a laptop & the power supply states consumption @ 65W. Does this change if the laptop is not on, just charging, or is it always 65W?

I tend to charge it at night when we aren't using anything else, but would it be better to do it during the day, if not on EHU, as the solar panels are replacing some of the power it is using.

The 65 watts will be the max for the PSU. Charging plus use will take more power than just one of these.

When to charge is personal preference, the leasure battery will be charged as you go or the next day. The main thing is not to leave the charger switched on once the laptop battery is charged, if you do it will waste power.

Take out battery....

Mine says 11.1V 4800mAh.

So 11.1 x 4.8 = 53Wh

One leisure battery has at least 12V x 50Ah = 600Wh. So it won't make a huge hole in it.

What I have noticed is a massive kick on the MH ammeter when I hear the hard drive being accessed. That's when the lappy gets hungry.
