It's very frightening to remember we've had 13 vans in our
years as motorhome addicts. Still wouldn't change the way of life as it's been wonderful. Even though the present day vans have every luxury it was more pleasing to be able to repair and renew items ourselves.

Yes I know it doesn't sound good, and in fact it wasn't, we we made a mistake, although the first one was good, it really wasn't what we wanted, so We bit the bullet and got on with the job, weighing up all the factors of the future costs, depreciation etc etc, vat no winners in this house, albeit we really are happy now, and that's why in ten years I hope we still have the same van, from new, and will know it's foibles, bit like I chose the wife, ouch! Where did that come from, my sweetness and light:whistle:(y)

Since 2011 (tugger for 20 before that)
Since 1992 we have had:
A very old Perle just to see if we liked caravanning.

An Elldis Shamal bought from my brother when he upgraded

Ace Globetrotter which I converted to a fixed bed

A new :Eeek: Compas Corona 505 which I wrote off by unhitching it from the car on our sloped driveway and the handbrake failed :swear2: sending it into a neighbour's car.
so we then bought:

A new Sterling Europa. We only had it for a year and decided to buy a motorhome.

Autotrail Tracker SE

And finally we have our new Swift Bolero and are so pleased with it.
Can't wait to go to Italy in September :party2:

1989, we bought our first VW type 2 Devon conversion, 2 berth.
1990, we sold the VW and bought a Ford CI Motorhomes Mk3, 4 berth. Bit of a lumbering dinosaur.
1991, we sold it and bought another VW type 2, again a Devon but with a pop top and 4 berths
Sold this in 2001 and had a couple of caravans. Never again.
2013 bought our present van

We haven't been at the motorhome game long enough so only on our first. But we started camping 10 years ago went through a couple of tents, folding camper (hard work!), Bailey Pegasus caravan which we loved. Then decided we wanted to tour Europe and the Uk more so bought the Chausson Flash 510 last year. Everyone said go bigger but we were too scared! The van is perfect for the moment but we would go up to 7m next time get a bigger garage and have more living space and have the bed available. We will be patient and wait for another 4 years, then we hope to retire release some money and go shopping :)

Auto trail 694g with Elddis Wisp (on neck of low loader) Another hobby but no room for Moho on it.
Swift 724fb - better half wanted lower bed and 'proper' heating.

Hopefully no reason to change anytime soon.

Compass drifter, she's gorgeous but knees are knackered , needs a facelift, dresses totally inappropriately for her age, drinks too much, smokes a lot and has COPD but will have to trade her in for a younger model next year.

Almost feel unfaithful but fancy running around Europe

Looked at loads of replacements and so far have
A liking for
Burstner Aviano or Dethleffs Esprit
