Dethleffs Trend t7051
We ordered our new motorhome at the NEC in mid October with an estimated delivery date of mid June, a period of about 8 months.
We’ve ordered a Dethleffs t5057 dbm with the factory options of drop down bed, 150 bhp engine, upgraded interior and alloys.
Does this sound similar to your experience? Did you have a longer wait?

For RHD drive sounds about right, German manufacturers only build a couple of batches of RHD vehicles a year. If you had ordered LHD you would have it end Feb beging Mar.

We ordered our Rapido motorhome at the NEC show in Oct 2015 and had to wait until the end of July 2016.
I think that many others on here have also waited many months for a new van to arrive, but I hope like us, you think that it was worth the wait when it finally arrives ,and you can load it up and let the adventures begin.

ordered a Chausson at Nec October 2016 got it June 2017, I realised that as I ordered near the end of the show, most Dealers had sold their allocation of Chassis had I ordered near the start of the show I would have had a better Choice of Dealers with Chassis available my local Chausson Dealer Simpsoms of Great Yarmouth in Norfolk could not supply, mind you ordering in a hurry can be a costly mistake.

I am afraid I am too impatient to ever order from the NEC show. When I see something that I want, I want it NOW. Bought new from dealer stock in November when the new models were just starting to arrive so got a very good deal on an "old" one.

Not me but my friend has ordered a Murvi and the wait is 12 months!!! Mind you that has given her time to change her mind about the interior colour scheme - we are off to Devon again for further consideration!! Female prerogative of course!!

I wanted a combination dealers would not stock, and advised that the resale value might not be good, so I had to wait for it to be made. If you want a 'special' you need to be patient.

We ordered a Dreamer (Rapido) the Monday after the end of the 2015 October NEC show. Advised late March/early April for delivery - but that subsequently went back to the end of June.

The reason we made a factory order was primarily to get a comfortmatic gearbox, plus a few other options. When the specced-up van eventually arrived, no comfortmatic but a manual gearbox... doh! :(

It was a definite deal breaker!

Ended up buying a Rapido pvc from stock that had an auto gearbox. Very happy now, but not at the time...

We searched but no UK dealer had a Rapido, Dreamer or Campereve PVC with a Comfortmatic gearbox in stock, only manual ones. When asked, the reply was: "we don't stock them because there's no demand". Ordered one at the NEC in October 2016 and took delivery the following June. Long wait. All the 2017 PVC production for the UK had been allocated in advance to the dealers and the Rapido order book was full. [Allegedly.] A seller's market.

First van was specced to order, order placed in June 2015 and van collected March 2016

Second van was dealer stock but new, so deal done at April Peterborough show although not collected until the end of June cos we were away in van number 1.

The wait for the first van almost killed me!

I wanted an upgraded engine, auto box, and media pack. Wife wanted a non-pooped in toilet :Eeek:, so ordered our first MoHo at the NEC in Oct 2014. We got it on March 21st 2015. Sold it at the end of September 2017 and will get our new one around 17th-24th March 2018. So, around 6 months for both.

Over 6000 miles between 3 March to 26 September 2017.
We ordered ours from Hayes in September 2016 and collected it 3 March 2017. We could have had it in February but wanted a 17 registration. We were going to wait until the NEC but Hayes told us we would have a longer wait and the price would have increased by then, so we were happy to order earlier.

eight years in theory, a newby in practice!!!
We ordered our Elddis 10 days ago and have to get it in June, which was a real surprise as there is an article in MMM saying that they're going to have to start another shift in the factory to keep up with demand.
Hope that they don't rush too much making ours. don't want a Friday afternoon van:whistle:
