Amazed that they haven’t cleared the backlog yet.
Is this stopping anyone from touring?

Not a problem near here. Ordered from usual calor number

No problem here in the Southampton area

I got 2 new Lites, after obtaining 2 empty bottles in the same range, from a local caravan site supplier 😊

I could not give away 3 x empty calor bottles recently.
(Even advised on here, no interest)

Eventually went to the tip.

It has taken me three years to get rid of three calor cylinders. One of which was full. Eventually one of my neighbors took it use in his super ser heater. There seems to be a surfeit of cylinders rather than a lack of them.

It sounds like exchange bottles aren't a problem, but if you want to rent / buy a new one nobody will let you because Calor say "no". We were specially allowed to buy one bottle (Calor Lite?) from the dealer when we picked up our MH, the second space in the gas locker remains empty :-(

Yes in the East Midlands Calor are still struggling to supply their dealers. I can't think of a British company I dislike more than Calor
Our Calor depot at Risby still hasn’t started it’s LPG. pump since lockdown started. An I’ll run company indeed.

No problem where we are for 13kg exchange but there’s a shortage of 6kg apparently.

That will soon change Jim, it will be Shell, BP and any other oil refineries

This is so strange. There’s nothing in Norfolk but I got one in Somerset last week. We’re heading to Folkestone via Chelmsford on Wednesday. Does anyone know a place en route that can exchange a size 13 for us?
I don’t relish ringing random suppliers between norwich and Folkestone! Acc to the Norwich Calor suppliers there a countrywide shortage!

When you can get one how much is a bottle of Gas these days?o_O
5 years ago for our caravan a 6KG Calor was £22.25, a 6KG Calor Lite was £24.00.(never understood why the Lite's were dearer to refill?)
I have no idea what a 13KG was back then, but I think they are over £40 these days, will find out when I need to replace the home BBQ patio gas bottle I guess.
Thanks.

Thanks
We have cylinders to exchange - just looking for the swop scheme.

I concur, their business practices mean only extortion and profiteering with a bit of retailer bullying let them survive.

We would be using flo gas if the refillable ones we have became a pain.

Waited in all day Wednesday for my calor delivery and they never showed up. Expecting it today, but this isn’t the first time and certainly won’t be the last I’m sure.

Flogas are usually a bit cheaper than Calor, and they accept Calor bottles in exchange.

Thanks! I don’t know about Flo gas? Is it the same and adaptable to Calor users?

Homestead at Weeley had a stack in there compound yesterday, all sizes.

We used to use flo gas and they delivered to the house, a very nice driver and good service.

Just googled it and this looks like a solution! Many thanks.

I don’t know where you are in Norfolk but if near a static van site then the delivery days are more frequent in the summer as it’s holidays.

We use the 47kg Flogas for the hob at home and heating the shed my workshop. Never used the smaller sizes but then I have Gas It in the van.

We're picking up our new motorhome in around four weeks and even the dealer can't do us a new Calor agreement so I've been on the Flo Gas site and ordered a new (no exchange cylinder) 6kg propane (they're out of 11kg). This cost £68. Now we wait...

Interestingly I phoned our local Flo Gas dealer and he could only supply us with an exchange cylinder but I bet a pound to a penny it'll be him that delivers our 'new' 6kg bottle.

On a side note, if anyone in the NE of Scotland has any old cylinders they don't want (Calor or Flo Gas) I'll be happy to collect and cross your palm with silver.

eBay and Gumtree have none within a 100 mile radius of me.

We rang Homebase who supply Flo gas and they don’t accept Calor gas cylinders in exchange. It would mean buying a new cylinder at £99 then £54.
Is this what people have done?
