Having followed a few threads where people are trying to organise a meet, there always seems to be a response saying "would love to but it's a bit far." This comment prompted me to ask how far would people travel for meet? I know people travel great distances for the National Shows but for a weekend meet what would be a comfortable distance to travel?

We always plan any meet as part of a greater tour so distance is no object. The furthest we have been for a weekend meet was Toulouse.

How long is a piece of string ?

We've just put our names down for South Wales. 218 miles because we know it will be a good one.

Misterton. Only 70 miles but also a known good one.

So it's the quality of the meet rather than distance here.

Agree with Hilldweller, depends on how good the meet is, probably only go 50 to 60 miles max for a c&cc or mcc one. Would go further for a Motorhome fun one.:)

Think I'm meeting a few people in Morocco in Jan, how far's that? :D

UK meets are dictated by how much chip fat I can burn, there and back. I have a range of around 1100 miles, so that should cover most of em :D.

I don't mind travelling far as my home always follows me. Keep on trucking.
