Brand new to our Wentworth as some of you know and I would like to start changing to led on our 12 volt lighting. The spots are going to be first once I can get the cover off lol.

Any ideas please

If that's halogen it may not have a removable cover. With a lot of them you just have to wiggle the lamp out of the hole in the middle.

Ok I can go with that but there is a glass cover in the centre over the bulb.

Ah Ok. Can't really see that from the picture. It may be worth having a look from above. There's usually some sort of cover above it in the locker. Remove that and see if there's an obvious answer there

With the switch mounted in the cover I would guess that it isn't meant to be removed.

I'll have a closer look tomorrow but it seemed sealed.

They are a twat but there should be a flat blade screwdriver slot at the back, opposite side to switch.

I can confirm there is no access from above
The plastic lens is not removable
The switch is part of the fitting not the cover
The cover has to be carefully pried off

Thanks Andy, I tried to pull the cover/body off but lost my bottle in case I was doing it wrong and broke it. Now I know that's what you need to do I'll be less gentle with it and give it a good pull ........ Ooooer Mrs.

Yes this is why I say they're a tw@t because replacements are to my knowledge none existent. It is a fearful act removing the cover but once one is off it becomes less stressful for the rest.
Don't pry the black part! that is part of the fitting that swivels and does not come off

You'll probaly find some covers are heat damaged and have a crack between the switch and the lens circle.

Yes, I think the whole lamp must get really hot with them being so bright and so small.

many many years! since I was a kid
theres 2 versions look like that. one you put a small flat blade in the slot between the lower silver and black ring and unclip. the other turns 90* and pulls downwards

both are simple to convert to LED. just pull out the bulb. when cold. then push in the replacement LED. check it works before reassembling and is not pull the led out and reverse the pins..... a 2 minute job when you've done the first one

strip lights are more difficult, but once the body of the light is gutted you can use strips of stick on LEDs or small self adhesive panels and a bit of wiring

dome lights are either halogen bulbs or flourescent tubes so depending on what type as to how quick and easy to convert

It's the former. The switch won't allow rotation of the cover.
AFAIK All Autocruise are the same (pre Swift)

If you need to use something to prise the cover off use a plastic kitchen spatula or an old credit card. You can apply a fair amount of pressure with either of those things without damaging the finish.

If I turn the whole body I can hear ratchet like teeth noise so the lamp can be pointed in different directions, that's what I'm frightened of breaking because as has been said replacements must be nil by now.

Bloody Hell that was frightening

Got a cover off without breaking it and you were right, one lug directly over the on/off switch and one to the right of the cut out. All feels very brittle and a little fragile. At least I now know what bulbs are in them (G4) and tubes in the top lights.

The way I was thinking was that wouldn't it be easier/ cheaper to cut down on the power needed to run the Moho rather than to buy more batteries and fit solar panels?

For the ceiling lights I ripped the guts out and used a section of large cable tie to bridge the centre to mount a 2 pin lampholder for a rear pinned LED
